 It was a recommendation from one of my friend and he was very excited about it, he said "this is different ,this is not like a usual or what you basically know about lord shiva or our mythology and  believe me this is different." i stopped him and said that "don't revel anything and then i ordered the book and start reading it and finished the book within a week. 
                                                         i had a lot of expectations from 'the immortal of meluha' and this book fulfilled it. 
                                           
 this is the story of lord shiva who becomes destroyer of evil the story starts from kailash parvat where he lives but they were forced to migrate a palace called meluha because of the rivalry with the  pakratis
.
the tribe reaches the place called devgiri  where he meets the king daksha. shiva destined to be that person, to become neekkanth, but he will not believe in  prophecies or think that he is the right person to that. he falls in love with sati the daughter of emperor daksha.

chandravanshis are the evil and suryavanshis has lot of expectations from the lord shiva the he will help them to find the truth.

the growing terrorist attack by nagas and chandravansis will lead the meluha's emperor daksha to declare the war. shiva leads the army, but what will happen when the destroyer of the evils realizes his mistake.the felling of vengeance will lead him to his journy, but his destination is far away.

the story is a blend of modern technologies and hindu mythological legends. every character is described well and in an informative manner. this the debut book of the author Amish tripathi in witch he created a fantasy world filled with interesting characters, scientific facts after every magical things and he covered the topics like caste sysem, corruption and unnecessary laws that enters directly into the heart of the readers. if you are a mythological fan or not i would definiately recommend this book for sure.
